About Me

Greetings, fellow outdoor enthusiasts! My name is Tracy Villarreal, a seasoned Texan with a deep-seated passion for the great outdoors and a particular love for all forms of saltwater fishing. I created this website to share my enthusiasm for saltwater fishing—whether it’s from piers, banks, shorelines, or kayaks—and other thrilling outdoor pursuits, with the hope of inspiring you to immerse yourself in nature’s wonders and create lasting memories.

Growing up on the Texas coast, I was fortunate enough to learn the joys of fishing from my father. My fishing journey began in childhood when my dad would take me out to catch fish near Padre Island or Corpus Christi Bay. Those cherished memories have ignited a lifelong passion for the sport that has only grown stronger with time.

Nowadays, you’ll find me kayak fishing along the Texas coast from Galveston Bay to upper Laguna Madre, and then venturing inland to try my hand at bass fishing in lakes or rivers. But my love for saltwater fishing extends beyond kayaks. I’m equally at home fishing from piers, banks, and shorelines or surf fishing, always seeking new challenges and opportunities to explore the water.

Over the years, I’ve enjoyed a fulfilling career as an IT professional with over 30 years of experience under my belt. However, it’s the great outdoors that truly captures my heart and soul, providing me with endless opportunities to indulge in my passions for fishing, kayaking, and discovering new adventures.

Through this website, I’m excited to share my wealth of experience, hard-earned tips, and product reviews related to various forms of saltwater fishing and other outdoor activities. My goal is to encourage you to embrace the outdoors and create unforgettable memories as you fish, kayak, and revel in all that nature has to offer.

So, let’s embark on this incredible journey together, casting lines, conquering waves, and creating lifelong memories. Welcome to my world of outdoor adventures, where experience and passion unite!

Tight lines and happy fishing,

Tracy
